Franklin County Visitors Bureau Celebrates Women’s History Month with
Women of Action Lunch & Learn on March 25
On March 25, 2025, Franklin County Visitors Bureau is celebrating Women’s History Month with Women of Action Lunch & Learn: Awareness, Education & Inspiration, held at the Franklin County 11/30 Visitors Center, 15 South Main Street in Chambersburg. The event is free and open to the public, beginning at 11:30 AM and concluding by 1:00 PM. In keeping with the 2025 theme of the National Women’s History Alliance—”Moving Forward Together! Women Educating & Inspiring Generations.” Women of Action includes Franklin County women from a variety of fields and professions. Empowering women will share their experiences in establishing a business or organization as the foundation of their livelihood, ways they realized personal life goals and how their efforts fulfilled a social need. By sharing their motivations and inspirations, these Women of Action will highlight ways women continue to meet challenges and move forward through a variety of circumstances and periods of time and hopefully inspire other women to move forward.
Following the presentations, the audience will be invited to share their experiences and highlight someone they feel is a “woman of action.”
Participants can view the Franklin County 11/30 Visitors Center exhibit that celebrates a variety of Franklin County women as well as the Franklin County America250PA Betsy Ross Exhibit: Sewing Through American History. Each participant will receive a copy of the 2025 Always The Right Time To Do The Right Thing Essay Booklet, comprised of the 2025 winning essays of youth, teens, and adults.
Lunch is a spring picnic of pressure cooker, fried chicken along with deviled eggs, pasta salad, broccoli salad, roll, sweet treat, and beverage.
