An executive session of the Borough Council of the Borough of Gettysburg was
conducted immediately following the adjournment of the May 22, 2023 monthly work
session of the Borough Council consistent with section 708(a)(1) and section 708(a)(5)
of the Sunshine Act.
An executive session of the Borough Council will be conducted immediately following
the adjournment of this evening’s monthly general business meeting consistent with
section 708(a)(1) and section 708(a)(5) of the Sunshine Act for the following purposes:
(1) to provide information and discuss matters involving the employment, the terms
and conditions of employment, and the investigation of complaints and the evaluation
of performance of current Borough employees; and (2) to review and discuss matters
of Borough business which, if conducted in public, could lead to the disclosure of
information or matters of confidentiality protected by law.
V. Approval of Agenda and Minutes – Council
A motion to approve the June 12, 2023 agenda as presented.
A motion to approve minutes of the Council Business Meeting of May 8, 2023 and the
Special Council Meeting and Council Work Session held on May 22, 2023 as
presented.

A motion to approve all bills and payrolls for the month as presented.
A motion to accept the eligibility list of candidates for the open positions of entry-level
patrol officer, as certified to and submitted by the Civil Service Commission of the
Borough of Gettysburg. The Borough Council does not object to any of the two (2)
candidates certified to by the Civil Service Commission on the eligibility list submitted
to the Borough Council.
A motion to make a conditional appointment of Alec A. Lardarello as the top-ranked
candidate on the eligibility list, as certified to and submitted by the Civil Service
Commission, for an open position of entry-level patrol officer with the Gettysburg
Borough Police Department. Said conditional appointment of an entry-level patrol
officer shall become effective on July 1, 2023.
A motion to make a conditional appointment of Joshua T. Chilcote as the secondranked candidate on the eligibility list, as certified to and submitted by the Civil
Service Commission, for an open position of entry-level patrol officer with the
Gettysburg Borough Police Department. Said conditional appointment of an entrylevel patrol officer shall become effective on July 2, 2023.
